Wow, what a great weekend! I am sparing you the long recounting (for now) but I can sum it up in two words: Old Buildings.
Few things make me happier. I walked through plenty of old churches and public buildings courtesy of European Heritage weekend. For two days, sites are open to the public and I took full advantage of the chance to tour libraries and take pictures of carvings on lecturns.
Don't be blinded by the glamour.
Special thanks to Alan in Belfast for bringing it to my attention, and I blame him for my lack of productivity this weekend! My pictures did not turn out well, so please consult iced.coffee.words. (link at right) to see photos that I wish I had taken.
Now I feel guilty! Nah. Not really. Glad you enjoyed exploring the local heritage ... and hopefully you met a few other explorers along the way!

Glad you had a good weekend. i find doing things like that super-productive, though my friends don't agree (often laughing at my love of such activities).
Thanks for compliments on photos :)
